  • DIRECTOR
    Director of PIU
    Mr Sun Jianyuan, graduated at University of International Business and Economics (former Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade) of Beijing Municipality. He worked several years for the Ministry of Commerce (former Ministry of Trade and Economic Cooperation) where he hold the position of Secretary of General Office(1985-87); worked as Section Chief of Foreign Financing Administration of the Ministry of Commerce (1987-95) and as Deputy Director of Foreign Financing Administration (1995-98). Before joining PIU as Director of the Programme Implementation Unit, he worked for the Ministry of Finance as Deputy Director of Finance Department (1998-2001) and as Consultant of Finance Department (2001-06).
    CULTURAL HERITAGE
    Cultural Heritage Programme Expert
    Ms Anna Dal Maso, Sinologist, Ph D at the Venice University with a thesis titled ¡°Conservation and Maintenance of Stone Monuments in Far Eastern Asia: the ¡°case of China¡±¡±.
    For doctoral studies purpose, she spent some time in India for on-site research and attended Peking University, Archaeology and Museology Department, where she got a Scholarship for Specialization on Chinese Conservation Issues. After some consultancy work for the Italian Development Cooperation in China (Sino-Italian Training Programmes on Conservation Issues), she is at present the Cultural Heritage Programme¡¯s Expert at the Sino-Italian Development Cooperation ¨C Programmes¡¯ Implementation Unit in Beijing.Starting from 2008 she is also in charge for assisting the PIU Director in the overall coordination of PIU activities.
    ENVIRONMENT
    Environmental Programme Expert
    Mr Giulio Gentile, Giulio joined the Italian Development Cooperation Office (UTL) in China through a Fellowship Programme sponsored by the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). He holds a Master Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy at ISPI and a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Bocconi University, Italy. Prior to joining the UTL, he has worked for ¡°Ernst & Young Financial Business Advisors¡± (2004-2005), serving as a Consultant providing Technical Assistance to various Italian Regions and Ministries in the implementation of the development activities co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF). He is now serving as Environmental Expert for the Programme Implementation Unit (PIU).
    Environmental Programme Assistant
    Ms Yao Lin, graduated from Guangxi University of Environmental Engineering subject in 2002. And then, she went to UK for furthering studies. After finishing her English language study in the University of Brighton, she accomplished master degree study in Sport and Leisure Management in Loughborough University in 2006. After graduation, she worked in a real estate corporation as an interpreter. The major responsibilities consisted of English verbal interpretation and written translation. She is now working in PIU as the Environmental Programme Assistant, responsible for interpretation and coordination work.
    HEALTH
    Health Programme Expert
    Ms Lidia Kuznetsova, earned a Master¡¯s degree in Cooperation and Development from Pavia University the European School of Advanced Studies in Cooperation and Development, where she focused her study and research on approaches for development cooperation initiatives in the health sector in China. She joined the Italian Development Cooperation in Beijing in 2005 as an intern. She is currently the Health Programme Expert at the Sino-Italian Development Cooperation ¨C Programmes¡¯ Implementation Unit in Beijing.
    Health Programme Assistant
    Ms You Qinhua, graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University in 2004, majoring in Foreign Language and Literature. After the graduation, she took the job in Beijing University of Technology as an English teacher, and as well as the assistant for the Director of Overseas Study Services of the university. During the spare time and vacations, she has been the volunteer for a NGO (in the process of being approved by the government), whose main responsibilities are to help the disadvantaged group in the western part of China, especially to improve the sanitary conditions of the local people. From this experience, she has developed the interest in the field of Health Programme. Therefore, she joined in PIU as the Health Programme Assistant.
    PROCUREMENT UNIT
    Procurement Specialist
    Ms Arianna Calza¡¯, Sinologist, BA (Hons) Degree in Modern Chinese Studies, University of Leeds (UK). After graduating in 2003 she moved to Beijing (PRC) where she has been living and working since. In China, she accumulated professional experience both in the private sector, working in an Italian company as Purchasing Manager Assistant, and in the semi-public sector as Manager of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce in Beijing. In August 2006 she joined the Sino-Italian Development Cooperation Programmes¡¯ Implementation Unit in Beijing as Procurement Expert responsible to collaborate with the local Procurement Agents in the preparation of the bidding documents for the cooperation Programmes.Starting from 2008, she is also responsible for the administration of the office.
    Procurement Specialist
    Mr Zhang Daxin, graduated from Qinghua University majoring in mechanical engineering and graduated from University of International Business and Economics majoring in international business. Got the certificate of Senior International Commercial Expert in 1996.
    He worked as an engineer making design in a sino-US joint venture for some years and worked as a businessman in a large scale central-government owned foreign trade company for nearly 20 years signing a lot of import contracts with large multi-national corporations around the world by way of international competitive bidding. He also worked as a supplier winning bids in international competitive bidding in the name of trading company on behalf of the manufacturers abroad.
    Driver
    Mr Niu Jun, has the driving experience for 14 years. Everybody calls him the ¡°walking dictionary¡± of Beijing. At present, he is the driver at the Sino-Italian Development Cooperation ¨C Programmes¡¯ Implementation Unit in Beijing.
